The National Insurance pays an occupancy grant to residents of Ashkelon who evacuated independently to a place of accommodation that is not funded by the State, based on the evacuation date of each locality.

Who is entitled to a grant?
An Israeli resident living in Ashkelon in an apartment deprived of a shelter and his family members who live with him (spouse and children, including children above age 18), who have been evacuated to a place of accommodation not funded by the State.

The grant is paid according to the number of days you have lived in a place of accommodation not funded by the State.
For an adult (including a child above age 18) - NIS 200 per day.
- If the adult receives child allowance - the grant is paid automatically on the bank account used for the payment of child allowance.
- If the adult does not receive child allowance - you can update you bank account details to receive the grant using this link.
- If bank account details are not updated - the grant is paid on the latest bank account in the records of the National Insurance.
For a child (up to age 18) - NIS 100 per day.
The grant is paid automatically on the bank account used to pay child allowance.
Payment for a foreign nursing caregiver
- A person eligible for a grant having a nursing caregiver foreign worker who has been evacuated with him - is entitled to an increment of NIS 200 per day in which the foreign worker is evacuated with him to a non-state-funded place of accommodation. Eligibility for the grant is granted if he has a working permit in the long-term care sector for that foreign worker delivered by the Population Authority and if the foreign worker is staying legally in the country.
To obtain the increment for a foreign worker one must indicate on the declaration form that a nursing caregiver has also been evacuated with the insured. - The payment will be deposited on the bank account on which the eligible person's occupancy grant is paid.
- The recipient of an occupancy grant who did not declare his caregiver - has to inform us about him through the *6050 call center or wait for us to contact him.
What should I do to receive the grant?
You need to complete a occupancy grant declaration form online on the website.
Please note, every evacuee above 18 years old needs to complete a declaration on his own.
For those who have a guardian or for whom a benefit recipient has been appointed - and there is no possibility to complete a grant declaration form on his behalf, one must call the dedicated call center at 02-5393773, to complete a declaration by telephone.
At this time, you can declare the period of evacuation until 31.12.2023.
Afterwards, you would need to revisit the website to declare additional periods where you lived in a place of accommodation not covered by the State.
